    Full Fledged Summoner (whatever…)

    There are few experience points between me and LVL50. Not to mention I got Leviathan also (And I have to thank Michael only for this..).
    I spent almost all my money trying to get ele staves before I reach their required level. And now I miss only Water and Fire staff (total amount is around 170-180k), I hope to be able to get em in time.

    Also Michael is at my same level with his RDM; we hunted his AF coffer in Eldieme last night and found it in no time :) And next time we’ll get my Grotto coffer and attempt to summoner first wearable piece e_e (some strange and scawy BC)

    But then again, rants.
    I’m SO PISSED. May fake mithras burn.
    I’t so sad seeing how most males are insane and….sad, yeah. If you are a mithra, you get everything. And if you act like the little damsel in distress, the world is yours.
    I don’t want to offend any *REAL* female mithra friends here (understood Aini, Mer, Aeyze and all of you?) but I can’t tolerate males.
    My friend’s father is playing as a mithra.
    He keeps saying to anyone he meets in the game he’s a girl in RL. At LVL 50 he got almost everything you can have at that point. Almost full artifact, Rank 6 (acceptable if you have jobs like whm or brd…..but not PLD -__-), people randomly giving him money (and I’m talking about 200-400k) and he even got a game marriage proposal.
    And now if he accepts and win the wedding lottery at first try I’ll quit -_- I’ve applied three times and still no fortune.
    And I guess I’ll see him dyna-ing once reaching 70~. That day I’ll be the most emo tarutaru on Ragnarok.

    Why people with a real life, with a work, and with other interest should be penalized in this way ? I’m getting tired of exp only, no money, less fun coz I have a decent real life.
    Of course that lame mithra is playing mostly during all the day. I wonder what his wife and children are thinking.

      As for the mithra thing. I’m inclined to agree, though it’s not just mithra (from what I see at least) so long as you go out of your way to advertise your (real or otherwise) female gender… eeeh, it’s kinda foul.

      Personally (and several of my close female friends on FFXI as well) look down on anyone acts like that with a certain degree of disdain, and I know it’s not always the case and that there *are* some incredibly shallow girls/women out there, but the majority of it seems to come from guys playing female characters D:

      Oh, and I also can’t stand the idea of adults putting games before their families.

      but ya, well at least majority of the time I try to tell people I’m a dude. but joo u wut though, if you were on my server, i’d probably do the same thing XD, given you extra help :), now why would I do that, i dunno… but after reading this post :) Maybe I sholdn’t give Jowah special treatment even if she moves server ._.

      but on fenrir, there was an incident where a dude pretending to be a girl failed, and his rl roomate revealed the fact. he lost all his credibility and quit :o but tat dude, whore so much item, so i totally understand what “pretending to be a girl” means in ffxi :o

      Jeff, actually I never tought about you regarding this matter, and not only for the fact you’re not playing as a mithra.

      What I mean, is that you DON’T act as the little poor girl who cries and need help PRETENDING to be a female in rl too.
      Or at least that’s how I see you. From what you tell me, and other people say about you. (Tazo, Istari, Ciermel and all former GuessWho members)

      I just hate the fact often males take advance of their girlie character.
      And I’m going to spoil him too, unfortunately one of my most relevant sins is ENVY. >_>
      It’s just easy to make new char and /tell his lover >_>

      Really Jowah is pissed ’cause she’s playing a totally cuteless race, even if she’s a female in RL, and she doesn’t receive gifts :(

      I played as mithra my first time. It was pretty stupid having all these guys hit on me D:

      I just couldn’t bring myself to seriously say “Yes I am a girl!”

      But I know how you feel, people who are girls or pretend to be girls tend to get free stuff all the time.

      I had played this game for three years and I’ve received a total of maybe 2 gifts over 3 different characters.

      But, don’t forget that most of the time they’re like that because they’re lonely and seek companionship…. from a game!

      You, on the other hand, don’t need that ;)

      Just have fun and do what you want in game. If I had a gf that played FFXI, I’d have never joined any end-game stuff and just duo stuff my entire time. It’s much more fun.

      And yea you can get everything you want as a female character, its sad in all ways D: I remember when I stard as Hume Male (just cause humes r seksi liek that) noone liked me ; _ ; and when I realized I couldnt wear Opaline I made a Mithra and its insane how much people love female chars (without knowin what you are in RL)

      Anyways Jowie dont get sad about the whoring out from guys and people wich have too much gil in their hands at least you deserve what you get

      Fact: Most FFXI players are male
      Fact: Most males like female

      Put them together and see how female is already ahead of male players regardless whether you’re flirting or not. Unless a female character is a jerk, I doubt that anyone would treat that character badly at all.

      It’s the same in real life. If you and I go out to town, most likely people would treat you better because you’re a beautiful girl while I’m just a geeky looking boy lol.

      Now imagine if there’s actually a female character in FFXI that actually looks ugly. I’m sure that people are less inclined to help. Appearance matters, and that’s the sad fact of life (and in game too).

      As far as Rank 6 at PLD50, well I know for sure I finished 5-1 as PLD51 doing legitimate tanking. So it’s not exactly impossible either that this manthra did 5-2 when his LS did the run and he tagged along or something. But if they did a run specifically for him, then they’re stupid people. Seriously, there’s no real benefit to have higher rank than 5 anyways. Going there and fighting is much more fun anyways to beat 5-2. I want to fight Shadow Lord again. =/

      I agree with Strawberrie. I’m a taru and get no special treatment (well except from Falconfire… but he doesn’t count). I’ve often wondered how different this game would be if I’d rolled a sexy mithra instead of a cute tarutaru.

      That’s actually what I meant.

      -Mithra = world licking your footsteps
      -Tarutaru = who cares (except some random tarufreaks around)
      -Hume Female = don’t know actually.

      Never received any special treatment, even if I’m female. And often people call me BOY too. Even with that damn flower on my head

      Probably I’m weird, but 2 of my best female friends in Pandemonium are both female Tarutaru. The next 3 are 2 female Elvaans and 1 female Hume. So yeah …

      For me, when I’m nice and giving gifts and stuff, it’s simply after I get to know the person rather than what race character they played. Plus, I think I only like 1 look of the Mithra. The others are not that good at all. Other races have better female looks IMO.

      Well.. I know what you talking about, on the ls I’m boys see a mithra get on ls and they don’t care to ask first if is a he or she, they began to flirt with him/her and then ask questions, I get ask if I’m a girl and when i say yes… is sooo freaky cause is like they won the lottery cause they found a mithra girl. About gift not yet but when I ask for help (only when i really need it) I get it fast… I even got a flirt time from a hume girl… and i even believe was a man.. it sucks really, I want to play and have fun! this is not a dating service!
