I once helped a friend get his SMN AF body. That was a pain in the tarutaru butt! We searched for hours but finally got that stupid thing. I feel sorry for the jobs who have coffers in Ifrit's Cauldron too. The turban is an ok item, just not too ideal for mages/bard type of people. Nowadays I prefer my AFv2 Cap for WHM and usually use my Opo Crown on BRD if I need HP/MP (+50 each go go!) or my AFv2 head if I need to stick debuffs. When I'm soloing on WHM/NIN though I use the turban to build TP. Good luck with SMN. It's supposed to keep getting more fun as you get higher in levels.
